Workshop and courtyard collections
If the car is behind a workshop or inside a shared courtyard, provide the access gate and any turning restriction. Tell us whether the gate can stay open while loading and who has permission to release the vehicle. The postal address may identify the front of a building rather than the usable collection entrance.
Street parking and apartment access
Include the bay or space where the car is parked and whether it can roll clear of neighbouring vehicles. Birmingham publishes separate street-parking information for the Jewellery Quarter, so check the current signs around the vehicle. Photos of a narrow entrance can help explain the access without moving an unsafe car.
Transport beyond the quarter
We can review requests for a garage transfer, home delivery or collection after a private purchase. Send the destination address, preferred date and any access instructions at the receiving end. If the car is a non-runner, describe neutral selection, handbrake release and wheel condition rather than only saying it will not start.
Your questions, answered.
Can you collect a car from a shared courtyard?
Send the gate width, access details and permission arrangements. Suitability depends on the available space and the car’s condition.
Can I leave keys with the workshop?
You can request that arrangement. Confirm the named collection contact and opening hours so release can be agreed before travel.
