Choose the right entrance, not just the building
Give the car park name, entrance street, floor and any height limit. For a hotel or office, explain whether the vehicle is at the public entrance, underground parking or a service yard. A current-location pin is useful, but a written description of the vehicle’s position is just as important.
City access needs a planned route
Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone covers the area inside the A4540 Middleway, excluding the Middleway itself. Bus lanes, bus gates and restricted turns also affect access. A recovery enquiry does not authorise driving through a restricted route; we consider the lawful approach and loading space when reviewing the job.
Make the handover workable
Confirm who can provide the keys and open any barrier. Tell us if the car runs and drives, and always mention wheel damage. Give your chosen delivery address and the receiving garage’s opening arrangements so the vehicle can leave the city centre with a clear onward plan.
Your questions, answered.
Can you collect from underground parking?
We need the height clearance, level, ramp layout and vehicle condition before confirming suitability. A standard flatbed cannot be assumed to enter every car park.
Will a nearby landmark be enough?
Add the actual entrance street and parking position. A landmark helps identify the area but may be separated from your vehicle by restricted roads or barriers.
