Describe the bike and its condition

Give the make and model, approximate size and whether the wheels roll and the steering moves. Tell us about a locked disc brake, missing keys, fork damage or a puncture. A scooter in a narrow side passage and a large touring motorcycle on an open forecourt can need very different loading arrangements. Do not ride or move an unsafe motorcycle to check an answer.

A safe loading route matters

Report steps, slopes, narrow gates, kerbs and any limited space at the pickup. Suitable ramps, chocks, securing points and transport capacity must be assessed around the actual motorcycle. If someone else will release the bike, agree their permission, access and key handover before the proposed collection.

Workshop, purchase or breakdown collection

Check the receiving workshop’s opening hours and whether it is expecting the bike. For a private purchase, confirm that payment and release requirements are complete with the seller. Provide the full delivery address or postcode and identify who can receive it. Loose accessories, luggage and any special handling needs should be mentioned in the notes.

Agree the work before booking

Select Motorcycle recovery in the assistant. The team checks vehicle suitability, the journey, price and availability before confirming a collection. Any passenger arrangements and estimated collection time are discussed separately; sending the enquiry does not itself reserve a truck.

THE DETAILS THAT HELP

Your questions, answered.

Can you collect a bike that will not start?

Tell us its make and model, whether it rolls and steers, and any damage or locked brakes. The team assesses suitable loading and transport before accepting the booking.

Can you arrange scooter transport?

Yes, you can request a quote. Include the model, weight if known, access restrictions and delivery address so suitability can be checked.
