Airport and NEC approaches need exact identification
National Highways publishes separate information for M42 junction 6 and its connections with the A45, Birmingham Airport and the NEC area. If you are on a slip road or link, name it if known. If you have already entered a car park or service road, use that actual collection point instead.
Check the current junction arrangements
Major junction works and traffic management can change the available approach. Use current road signs and the official project information, and tell us about any restriction affecting your vehicle’s position. Avoid relying on an old map screenshot that may show a previous entrance or route.
Transport for cars and suitable vans
State whether the vehicle runs and drives, disclose wheel damage and give the transmission type. For a van, include its body dimensions and load. The team reviews the collection location, loading needs and receiving address before confirming price and availability. Any urgent traffic danger needs emergency assistance rather than an online quote.
Your questions, answered.
Can you collect from an airport car park?
Request it using the actual car park, level, entrance and clearance. Airport parking access is assessed separately from a motorway collection.
Which junction number should I give?
Use the number shown on signs near your actual position, together with direction and road name. Tell us if you are on a connecting road rather than the M42.
