Car parks and private access

Dudley Council publishes an interactive parking map, including sites around the town centre. Identify the specific entrance and level where your vehicle is located. If it is on private land, confirm permission to enter and who can open a gate or barrier; an address does not guarantee loading access.

Work vans need a capacity check

A panel van, high-roof model and Luton body can require different recovery arrangements. Give the exact model, wheelbase and whether it is carrying tools or stock. Tell us about a tail lift or conversion. Capacity should be assessed before a booking is agreed, rather than relying on the word van alone.

Non-runners and onward transport

Explain whether the vehicle drives for loading, and always disclose wheel or suspension damage. If it does not drive, add rolling, neutral and handbrake information. Confirm the destination can receive it and provide opening hours if it is a garage. We then check availability for the actual collection and delivery request.

THE DETAILS THAT HELP

Your questions, answered.

Can you collect a car from a Dudley garage?

Request collection with the garage’s release contact, opening hours and vehicle condition. The receiving address should also be agreed before booking.

Do you need to know if my van is loaded?

Yes. Its load, size and body style affect the available recovery capacity and must be disclosed when requesting the quote.
